Connected characters: Stacy
Born in the slums with a single mother who was living on what little she made from her job, Malibu has never had life handed to her on a silver platter. Because of that, she's worked hard to earn everything she's got and has learned to not let others' negative words and treatments phase her much.
Ever since she was young, she's liked to draw and paint, but she never truly got to live out her artistic passion due to her mother not having spare money for art supplies (they were a very rare gift--mostly given on birthdays and Christmas). When her mother got deathly ill with cancer, however, she knew she had to find a way to get money to help pay for treatment, but even with the part-time job she was working, it just wasn't going to cut it. After being referred to the Gang by a friend-of-a-friend, however, she took the opportunity, feeling she had no other options. After a few days of being tested and questioned by the "Adviser" and a few "Overseers," she was on the road towards becoming a drug dealer. It was taking a while longer to get the money that she wanted for her mother, but eventually, the payment from working her regular job and her illegal one, she raised enough money to make her mother's last days comfortable.
After her mother died, Malibu decided to continue working nights with the Gang because she wanted to save for art college like her mother had always wanted for her. One evening while she was out on the job, selling the usual "stuff," Malibu spotted a canine customer whom she hadn't seen before. The dog, named Stacy, was looking for another dealer since hers disappeared. Since it would be good to get more income and another loyal customer, Malibu questioned the saluki a bit (making sure she wasn't an undercover cop), then they eventually struck a deal. After that, their business relationship quickly blossomed into a deep love for one another. After Malibu's high school graduation, she moved into an apartment with Stacy.
Malibu has a very old soul despite her age and just "goes with the flow" of the world. Though she's made a few bad choices, she makes the best of what she has and tries to enjoy the time she has in the world. Though she doesn't mind socializing, she rather enjoys her alone time or being only with those closest to her. Even though she's mostly lax, she can sometimes be stubborn about things and isn't very likely to budge from hard-set opinions.
Other: Her hearing's not extremely good; she likes to keep her nails short, and her favorite types of clothing to wear are ponchos and poncho-dresses (which can cover up her weight a bit, 'cause she's just a tad self-conscious about that). She often gets paint and other art supplies all over her fur (though she takes off her clothes, usually, so they don't get messed up). She's never shown any interest in getting in the Mob or any larger gang, but that doesn't mean that she's not dedicated to the one she's in.
What this character shouldn't be depicted doing: being romantic with anyone other than Stacy, doing any drugs
