Ramses
Name: Ramses
Species: Yukon x Mackenzie Valley wolf Age: 4 years Gender: male Height: 88cm Weight: 66kg Appearance: Ramses is an albino, so his fur is white (when clean) with very pale/diluted markings; his skin is a pale pink; and his remaining eye is pink with a red iris. Usually, his pelt is dusty, dirty, or muddy, however, so he's not as brightly-colored all the time. He is smaller than sister due to being runt of litter (and just because of her male-like size), but he doesn't mind being the smaller of the two. His face is heavily scarred on the left side, where the dogs attacked him, and his left eye sometimes oozes puss due to still being within the socket, albeit severely damaged. Eating is a messy matter with his maw being half exposed, so sometimes, he has food--clearly visible--wedged between his teeth. His body has scarring on it from the dog attack, too, and there are patches of fur still missing from his neck and hindquarters. Personality: Dominant Moralistic: protective, hardworking, selfless, tireless, just, rigidRamses is not a bad guy, but he can't help it sometimes when he does bad things because he believes they are the right thing to do, at the time. He can be ruthless when defending his loved ones, but in any other situation, he is rather merciful and understanding. He respects those who respect him [and deserve respect from him], but if any cross him, he is a force to be reckoned with, especially when it comes to his sister. He is extremely protective over Akaela, even more so than his mate and offspring, and if any even look at her the wrong way, he will do his best to tear them to bits and teach them respect. When it comes to outsiders and those not directly related to him, he is suspicious, and it will take time to gain his trust. If he makes a decision, Ramses expects it to be followed through, even if it's difficult to do. He tries to put others' opinions into consideration when choosing what must be done, but his is the final word, whether or not others agree. If something doesn't work, he will try again and again until he succeeds. He would give the world to his family, if he could, and he does his best to make them comfortable, at least by his definition. That can sometimes lead him to do things that others wouldn't want him to do, even if he's doing it for them and for what he believes is a good cause. Still, it is best not to question his motives, as he gets touchy when others believe he is going too far when he's set his mind on a goal and won't give up. He believes if he is doing it for others, he is doing the right thing. He likes his quiet time, sitting under the trees and watching the day go by. His sister is never too far from him, despite how he wishes she would go and enjoy herself on her own or with others, sometimes. Most times, however, he finds it comforting to have her so close to him, and she is his greatest friend and advisor. Likes: summer breezes, cloudy days, a full belly, being with his sister Dislikes: dogs, loud noises, bright lights, humans, threats to his sister, questions to his authority |
History:
Ramses was born different, and being both an albino and a runt did not fare well for him. His father considered killing him, because he thought it would be more merciful to "put the poor cub out of its misery." However, his mother decided she wanted to give him a chance, and he grew up to be a relatively strong wolf, although not as much so as his dearest younger sister, Akaela. She led him through hard times and defended him against their older siblings, who teased or abused him. She reassured him that he was no different than any other, and though he knew this to not be true, he still trusted her and put his faith in her kind words. After all, she, too, was different from the average wolf. After Ramses left his parents' pack, Akaela refused to leave his side, although he told her multiple times to leave and find herself a mate and home away from him. Her loyalty solidified their bonds, and each vowed to keep one another safe and happy, for as long as they were able. Ramses found a female and they eloped together, created territories, far from either alpha's parents, and moved around with Akaela and their offspring for years. When their last territory came under threat, he tried his hardest not to budge on their borders, but the humans sent in their hunters with their dogs and guns to clear out the land for construction. Ramses fought hard against the dogs when they invaded his den space, but he lost an eye, half an ear, and nearly half his muzzle in the conflict as his mate and cubs fled. He would have died, if it weren't for Akaela, who practically demolished the dogs, leaving many dead or hideously injured, and the remainder ran back to their masters. After the attack, his mate and pups were poisoned by a hunter, and he and Akaela left the area for good. |
